Bob brings a rich and varied background to his work in sustainability. After completing studies in Europe, his first career began teaching the Transcendental Meditation Program in the Boston area, which included collaborating on a doctoral thesis study with Harvard Psychologist Dr. Charles Alexander on the impact of the TM program on the cognitive development of inmates at a maximum security prison. That ignited his passion for working in the human development field. Subsequently Bob has partnered with Shaklee Corporation to build a 39 year old family distribution business to one of the largest in the Shaklee network. He retired in 1999 as the top Coldwell Banker agent in the city of Kansas City, then associating himself with The Pacific Institute, bringing Pacific Institute curriculum and consulting to a variety of organizations. Clients have included Shaklee, YMCA of the USA, The Federal Bureau of Prisons, North Central District, and Child Health Corporation. In the past several years, Bob has turned his attention to sustainability on the community and national level. He is co-chair of the Fairfield Iowa Sustainability Commission, advisor and business development specialist to Envision Solar, and a principal at Climate Prosperity Enterprise Design, LLC, an international renewable energy and public policy consulting firm.
Bob is a skilled facilitator, sought-after speaker, and insightful executive coach. His interests include classical guitar performance, tennis, cycling, reading, and participating in the lives of his four cherished children. He's a board member of the Living Arts Institute of Cape Cod, The What If? Foundation, an advisory board member of Global Urban Planning, and president of the board of the Climate Prosperity Project.
